The Embassy of Pakistan would like to draw the attention of all Pakistani
nationals in the United States who have undergone special registration
(NSEERS, or the National Security Entry Exit Registration System) towards
a very important requirement of the law; mandatory registration with BICE
(Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement) offices at the designated
exiting airport.
According to the law, it is mandatory that while exiting the United States,
all individuals who have undergone registration previously, report and
re-register with US Immigration authorities at the airport. Failure to
do so and exiting without reporting to the US Immigration offices at airports
would lead to subsequent inadmissibility into the US and possible detention
and deportation.
The Embassy would request all such Pakistani nationals to carefully read
the written instructions handed over to them at the time of registration
and abide by them.
The Embassy would like to underline the fact that all airline representatives
are not aware of the provisions of this law and might not be able to advise
exiting Pakistani nationals correctly. Therefore, the Embassy would like
to reiterate that THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE LAW. All such Pakistani
nationals who fall into this category are advised to reach the airport
at least four hours prior to departure, find the airport office of the
Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and register BEFORE boarding
the flight.
