Charge d’Affaires Mohammad Sadiq Brief's President Bush on Earthquake situation
Charge d’Affaires of the Pakistan Embassy Mohammad Sadiq today met with President Bush to brief him on the devastation caused by the worst ever earthquake in the history of Pakistan. President Bush expressed his sympathies for the people of Pakistan and assured the US assistance for the victims of the wide spread disaster. While conveying gratitude of his Government for President Bush sympathy with people of Pakistan and the US assistance Mr. Sadiq underscored the urgent need of helicopters to help with the search and rescue efforts and for provision of much needed food and medicines. He also briefed the President on the immediate disaster relief needs including earthmoving equipment, portable communication equipment and tents etc. Washington DC
