Ambassador Karamat Participates in SAARC Ambassadors Forum at SAIS

The Ambassador participated in the SAARC Ambassadors Forum at SAIS, Johns Hopkins University today. The Forum discussed energy issues in South Asia.

The Ambassador spoke on Pakistan's energy policy and requirements and outlined the investment opportunities and potential that existed. He also discussed the various transnational oil and gas pipeline projects. The Ambassador elaborated upon the benefits that would accrue to the region through the development of energy corridors and intra-regional linkages.

The Ambassador highlighted the positive economic indicators in Pakistan which were reflected in the growing energy demand in both the private and the commercial sectors.
