The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shaukat Aziz, would be visiting the United States from 18-24 January 2006.

 

 

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shaukat Aziz, would be visiting the United States from 18-24 January 2006. He will hold talks with US President George W. Bush at the White House on January 24.

The Prime Minister’s other engagements include meetings with Vice President Cheney and Members of Congress. The Secretary of State, U.S. Trade Representative and Secretary of Treasury would call on the Prime Minister. Visit to Pentagon is also scheduled followed by a meeting with the Secretary Defence. He would also address major think tanks in New York and Washington DC.

The Prime Minister would attend a luncheon hosted by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan in New York. He would have several meetings with corporate leaders and investors in New York and Washington to discuss earthquake reconstruction as well as trade and investment.

The Prime Minister would also address the Pakistani community in New York and interact with Pakistani professionals/representatives of community organizations in Washington, DC.
