Ambassador Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, who is currently visiting Pakistan, held
a number of meetings in Islamabad during this week. The Ambassador attended
a meeting in the Ministry of Finance where 5-year assistance package offered
by the US government was discussed. He held a separate meeting with the
Finance Minister to discuss Pakistan's interaction with the World Bank
and IMF.
Ambassador Qazi also met with Foreign Minister Mian Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri
and Secretary National Security Council Mr. Tariq Aziz and discussed various
aspects of Pakistan-US relations.
Earlier, the Ambassador called on the President and the Prime Minister.
