Pakistan condemns the targeting of the United Nations Observer Mission by Israeli forces in Southern Lebanon

Pakistan condemns the targeting of the United Nations Observer Mission by Israeli forces in Southern Lebanon in which four UN observers have been killed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the peacekeepers and their governments. We understand their anguish, as Pakistan is a leading contributor to the United Nations peacekeeping operations.

Pakistan has repeatedly called for immediate end to the current crisis arising out of the continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon. The ongoing conflict has claimed lives of hundreds of innocent civilians. We once again call upon the international community to intervene urgently to stop the attacks and facilitate a diplomatic solution to the crisis.
