“When asked about the reported cooperation between Pakistani and the British intelligence agencies, the Spokesperson confirmed that the arrests in the UK have followed active intelligence cooperation between Pakistan, the UK and the United States . In fact Pakistan played a very important role in uncovering and breaking this international terrorist network. Cooperation on this particular case was spread over a period of time. There were some arrests in Pakistan which were coordinated with the arrests in the UK . Pakistan is an important partner in the international coalition against terrorism and we are in the forefront of international efforts to combat the bane of our times”.
