As part of series of events celebrating the 60th Independence Day of Pakistan, the Embassy organized a musical concert on Friday, August 18, 2006. Renowned Pakistani artists, namely, Jawad Ahmed, Shehzad Roy, Humaira Arshad, Laiba Ali and Saeed Seeki performed live on stage.

The event was attended by officials from the State Department, Department of Defence, Congressional Staffers, members of the Diplomatic Corps and a large number of Pakistani-American community. The event was also widely covered in the local electronic and print media.
