The Pakistan Embassy in Washington arranged an exhibition of the rich cultural and archeological heritage of the Indus civilization
The main attraction for the visitors was a Pakistani truck parked in the sprawling compound of the embassy. Decorated with paintings ranging from flowers to peacock to sceneries, it presented a unique "truck art" for the visitors. The visitors showed a keen interest in the grand moving art on trucks as they learnt about its various aspects. Also displayed was a collection of pottery, ornaments, ajraks, shawls, embroidered clothes, murals etc, exhibiting the variety of cultures in four provinces of the country. Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Mahmud Ali Durrani welcomed the visitors and thanked Prof Kenoyer for enabling people to catch a glimpse of the great archeological and cultural richness of the country.
