Flag Hoisting Ceremony on the 60th Independence Day

A simple but impressive flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy Chancery this morning, on the auspicious occasion of the 60th Independence Day. The ceremony began with recitation from the Holy Quran. Ambassador Mahmud Ali Durrani hoisted the national flag and read out the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the occasion. Special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
