National Conference of Pakistan Student Associations
In an effort to create an interconnected and well-informed Pakistani-American community, the Embassy of Pakistan, Washington, DC will be hosting the first National Conference of Pakistan Students Associations (PSA) from across the U.S. on April 9th, 2004. Pakistan Students Associations have been an integral part in America’s college campus environment, where they have represented Pakistan’s cultural, social, and political interests for several years. The conference will create a nationwide network of Pakistani students to share experiences and devise strategies to empower the growing Pakistani-American student population. After months of preparation involving teleconferences and smaller meetings, the conference will finally bring together PSAs from all over the United States. This will provide an opportunity for participants to organize and later mobilize their own student populations across the country. The PSA National Conference is a groundbreaking initiative
with great potential to influence the Pakistani-American relationship.
